TANGIER TO HALIFAX

Left Tangier about 8 am, and arrived in Halifax about  2pm, 48 nautical miles.

Entered busy Halifax Harbor and radio'd the dockmaster for our berth assignment.  Got settled on the 2nd tie up -- first dock was way too busy and rocky for us.  Second berth was fine, right in front of Maritime Museum of the Americas. It was a tight turn to get on the dock, easily accomplished by Captain Michael.  We had power, water, baths at ferry dock.   The first night was the Buskers Festival and the place was mobbed. I'm not sure what a Busker is.  Big crowds on the waterfront but all well behaved and our dock was roped off from the pedestrian traffic.

We spent  three nights here in Halifax and really enjoyed the city, especially the waterfront area which is well developed for pedestrian traffic with a long long boardwalk.    Did some marketing, walked around the city, and climbed up to the top of the city to the fortress there.  Visited two museums and learned a bit about Halifax.   Intrigued by the story of Maud Lewis, a Nova Scotia artist.

A fun few days and so happy to be in a city.
