BURLINGTON, VERMONT

I didn't take many pictures in Burlington, which is unfortunate as its a great city and we also didn't get to do much -- we were there several days, but had lousy weather, not so good for walking or biking and we were also distracted by problems at home, and chores -- bill paying and planning -- and there were very wimpy internet connections.

Last year I had AT&T set up Michaels iphone as a hot spot -- took about five minutes and worked fine.  This year I have called 3 times and no one can seem to get it set up --so I thought I would wait until I saw an At&T store, but have not come across one.   In Canada we are limited (by the plan we chose) anyway, so gave up and deal with interemittent wifi.

We've had  20 knot breezes for the last 5 days, rocky docky, and everyone on the waterfront is getting weary. And a wild storm last night which knocked out a lot of power in the area.

Burlington has some beautiful buildings, old and new, full of students of UVM, beautiful churches, etc.   If you get a chance to visit, do.   This won't be my last visit, for sure.

Leaving Burlington, we traveled to Rouses Point, about a half mile from the border, so tomorrow we're in Canadian waters.   Its a one-horse town, with a great marina -- there are 260 boats in this marina, 5 are US boats, the rest from Montreal.

Burlington -- one of the great places of America -- I agree!

                                                                 The Marketplace:

grocery shopping in this market place was expensive like MV
that's Mike, on the left with the blue shirt on

Lots of ferries in Burlington, going in and out all day -- 3 in this picture over to the New York side and to islands in the lake.  Thats our rubber dingy you see in the picture.
