We left St. Ours, thru Sorel and into the St. Lawrence, and moved on to Trois Rivieres to spend the night. Trois Rivers is a city but there is little to walk to from the marina. While there we went to the snack bar and started talking to a couple (about the only other people there speaking American english) and we almost immediately realized that they were the same people that I had exchanged emails with a few months ago. We thought our paths might cross, and so they have. They are taking the same route we are, so we will try to buddy boat with them some -- though they travel a good deal slower. Its always nice to have a friend nearby!

announced on the radio -- in French -- the order we would all enter the lock -- he was 1, we were 2 |
